Inside the app you run Active chains, walk the stage rail, clear lag, pick templates, archive closed work, and keep a Playbook of physical vs responsibility patterns. Your display name, chains, stages, conditions, and history stay on your device.
Handoff: Chain is an independent productivity app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any logistics carrier, courier network, enterprise workflow vendor, or third-party project-management platform.
Privacy
Your chains stay on your device.
Handoff: Chain is designed around local storage. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell your personal information.

This Privacy Policy describes how Handoff: Chain (the “Application”) handles information when you use our responsibility-chain companion for iPhone and iPad. The Application is provided by Bohemian Bliss Design SRL (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
1. Information We Collect
Handoff: Chain does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your email, phone number, or location inside the app. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Display name you choose during onboarding or profile setup
- Responsibility chains, stages, owners, due dates, and confirmation timestamps
- Handoff conditions (appearance notes, serials, document checklists, and any photos you attach)
- Templates you customize, archive history, and Playbook preferences
- A compact desk snapshot shared with the optional Home Screen widget via an App Group
2. How We Use Information
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. All features — Active, Chain, Lag, Templates, Archive, Playbook, and the Baton Desk widget — operate using data stored on your device.
3. Data Storage & Retention
App content is saved as local JSON in the Application’s private storage (Application Support) and, for the widget, in a shared App Group container on your device. There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us. Deleting the Application permanently removes associated local data from your device.
4. Third-Party Services
Handoff: Chain does not include analytics, advertising, or marketing SDKs. Decorative reference imagery in some template banners may load from picsum.photos over HTTPS when you view those screens. Those requests do not include your chains, owners, notes, or profile data.
5. Widgets
If you add the Baton Desk widget, Apple’s WidgetKit reads a local snapshot from the shared container on your device. We do not receive widget contents on any remote server.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because no personal data is transmitted to us, the app aligns with COPPA and similar standards.
7. Your Control
You can edit or delete chains, stages, and notes at any time inside the app. Uninstalling the Application removes local data from your device.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. The core commitment — local storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice.
